Available now is this 1965 Gibson EB3. One of only 339 shipped in that year, and one of even fewer that made it this side of the pond.

The EB-3, widely known as the classic Cream bass, was used and made most famous by Jack Bruce from blues-rock pioneers 'Cream' around 1967 onwards. He had a few of them over that time period, but his main and most photographed instrument was a matching '65. The spacing between the control knobs was changed in 1965 to match the guitar line, so only a percentage of these 'wide spaced' EB's were ever made.

This is your chance to own THE Brucey bass, at a players grade level of accessibility.

This bass has definitely lived a life over its near 60 year existence. It its weather checked and buckle rashed to hell in the way that only well loved instruments are. Sporting original loom, pickups and hardware.

The bass is recently refretted and set up, so it's a useable road warrior once more with all the right original features in the right places.

Other items to note are it's historic headstock break. Like most of these the headstock has been reattached and it's had some localised finish repair, but it's stable and has been in all the years i've had it. It also has the classic split around the input jack but this has also been repaired and is solid.
