The Strandberg Boden Standard NX 6 Plini Edition "Mirage" is a visually striking and sonically versatile instrument born from the long-standing collaboration with progressive guitar virtuoso Plini. Commemorating his "Mirage" EP, this guitar features a dramatic Black Granite finish with glow-in-the-dark artwork directly from the album cover, making it a showstopper on any stage. Built on the solid-body Boden Standard platform, it combines Plini's preferred specs—including a fast Ebonol fretboard and custom-voiced pickups—into a workhorse guitar that balances artful aesthetics with supreme playability.

Key elements of its design:

• Glow-in-the-Dark "Mirage" Artwork The Black Granite satin finish is adorned with the distinctive "Mirage" moon artwork that glows in the dark, paired with a custom Plini moon inlay at the 12th fret and Luminlay green side dots for maximum visibility on dark stages.
• Custom Plini Pickup Configuration Equipped with a specially designed .strandberg* Custom OEM humbucker set that covers Plini's entire tonal range. The simplified control layout features a single Master Volume and a 3-way switch, allowing for instant access to full bridge power, glassy split-coil cleans, and warm neck leads without any fuss.
• Ebonol Fretboard Unlike the standard maple or rosewood options, this model features an Ebonol fretboard—a synthetic material known for its glass-smooth feel, extreme durability, and ultra-fast response, perfect for technical playing.
• EGS Rev7B Tremolo Features Strandberg's updated Rev7B tremolo system with a pop-in arm, offering a smooth, responsive feel for expressive vibrato while maintaining the rock-solid tuning stability required for complex progressive music.
• NX Sculpted Neck Joint The Bolt-On construction utilizes the refined NX heel, providing uninhibited access to the highest registers of the 24 stainless steel frets, ensuring that every note is easy to reach.

User feedback praises the Plini Mirage Edition for its "punchy and well-balanced" tone, with many players noting that the solid Meranti body provides a warm, resonant foundation that pairs perfectly with the bright attack of the Ebonol fretboard. The simplified volume-only control layout is frequently highlighted as a refreshing choice that keeps the focus entirely on playing dynamics.
