Slingerland - 5x14" Gene Krupa Sound King Snare Drum, Trick Strainer Chrome over Brass (JL Sling #23)
Great vintage sound with modern reliability.
Here's a classic 1970s 10 lug chrome over brass Gene Krupa Sound King. There are some slight scratches on the shell, the lugs are a somewhat pitted. The drum has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. No other issues.
The original and somewhat problematic Zoomatic throw off has been "updated" with a Trick strainer. Engraved bottom hoop.
New Remo heads top and bottom. Wide snare wires.
It's a great sounding snare that shows a little wear with fresh heads and a drastically improved modern throw off.
