[Fender Japan] ST62 (BLK) '62 Stratocaster with Gold Lace Sensor Pickups & Mid Boost (Alder Body/Maple Neck/Rosewood Fingerboard) Made in Japan

This is a pre-owned Fender Japan ST62 (BLK).

Made in Japan. This Stratocaster model features a spaghetti logo, small headstock, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard.

The back of the neck is stamped with the serial number O (manufactured 1993-1994), and the neck pocket has a custom "ORDER" stamp (the details of the custom order are unknown). Given the body recess is ST54-style, it is likely that the ST62 rosewood neck was installed on an ST54-LS, and the pickguard was changed to a 3-ply pickguard. Therefore, we've listed it as ST62 for aesthetic reasons.

The body is likely alder, black, and the pickups are Gold Lace Sensor (USA) with an early-model Mid Booster (the 9V battery for the Mid Booster is a little old and needs to be replaced). This is the Fender Japan version of the Eric Clapton model, which was also available in the USA at this time.

● The pickups are three Gold Lace Sensor (USA) pickups, recreating a vintage single-coil pickup. The Mid Booster produces a fat Stratocaster sound.

● The bridge saddle is stamped FENDER.

● The neck condition is, in my amateur opinion, nearly straight. I estimate that more than 60% of the frets remain. (The fret rod has not been touched, as I lack the tools or knowledge. However, as this was purchased used, it is possible that the previous owner may have adjusted it. Thank you for your understanding.)

▼ The exterior shows dents and scratches due to age, but is in good condition considering its age. However, as this is a used item, please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for perfection.

While there are no noticeable scratches or other issues at present, as this is a used item, there is a possibility that problems may arise in the future. Furthermore, we are unable to provide information on part replacements such as pickups or assemblies, so if an item is not described as fully original, we will assume its condition is unknown. Please consider this before bidding.

Shipping

Worldwide shipping from Tokyo. For goods with hard cases we usually pack hard case and contents by cushioning material (usually bubble wrap). There has never been a problem with that shipping method so far. However, if you want a hard case to be included in cardboard, I can ship by that method if you pay additional $10. This applies only to products that originally have hard case.

Items are generally shipped on Mondays and Fridays. For safety reasons, items that can be removed from the body and neck will be shipped with the body and neck removed.

(Sunday and public holidays is not business day)

We usually ship with a tracking number.

*We can not use EMS(Japan Post) service for some countries in Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, Tajikistan etc.) If your shipping address is in these areas, please contact us before bidding.

Returns are accepted ONLY if the item was not the item described.
