The three outputs on the left generate stepped random voltages similar to a sample & hold circuit, with adjustable random probability for the voltage spread. These voltages are derived from an internal clock generator and an internal noise source acting as the sample signal. Alternatively, you can use an external sampling signal instead of the internal noise, with level control that influences the resulting random voltages. The SLEW parameter, which is voltage-controllable, smooths the stepped voltages.
The clock signal itself can be accessed via a dedicated output.
Two additional outputs provide a random sawtooth signal: one output is phase-inverted (negative polarity), while the other has positive polarity. The Slew Rate parameter, also voltage-controllable, affects both the level and polarity of these sawtooth signals. The positive sawtooth output is normalized to the clock rate CV input, enabling easy creation of randomized clock signals.
The module also generates random gate signals based on the state of the random sawtooth signal. The sawtooth’s level is analyzed, and when it exceeds an adjustable threshold, a gate signal of controllable length is produced. Both the threshold and gate length parameters are voltage controllable, providing further flexibility for dynamic patching.
