The Prophet Rev2 introduces a powerful and unique feature: waveshape modulation. This allows you to adjust the “pulse width” of any of its four classic waveforms, either manually with the Shape Mod control or by using another modulation source to continuously vary the timbre. This feature adds new depth and dimension to even single-oscillator sounds.

The Prophet Rev2 achieves its punchy and present sound through its switchable 2/4 pole, resonant low-pass filter. This Curtis filter, from the Prophet ’08 and classic instruments from the 70s and 80s, shapes the Rev2′s forward and modern sonic character. More than just a subtractive tool, you can even use filter FM to introduce harmonic complexity when desired. 

The Rev2’s bi-timbral capability lets you play two different presets at once. Stack mode layers both patches for richer sounds, while Split assigns one program to the lower keyboard section and another to the upper, perfect for playing a bass line alongside your chords. In Multi Mode, the Prophet Rev2 responds to MIDI, allowing independent control of each bi-timbral part.

The Prophet Rev2 features a wealth of synthesis tools to bring your sounds to life, including waveshape modulation, the clear and precise Curtis filter, and an extensive modulation matrix with 8 slots, 22 sources, and 53 destinations available.
