The Hamer Newport (the guitar listed here) received a perfect score in a review by Guitar Player Magazine, a first in the magazine’s history. It was released in 1999, one year before the one in this very listing was made. The condition of the instrument is a 9 out of 10. It features the most quiet P90‘s I have ever played, thanks to the metal pickup covers. It plays flawlessly and with ridiculously low action. I bought it used from a reputable shop because it was the first Bigsby equipped guitar I played that actually stayed in tune. This is a true hollowbody with a hand carved spruce top and a one piece Honduran mahogany body. The Grover tuning machines are some of the best I ever put my hands on: they are smooth, accurate and do not slip. This is a hand made collector’s piece. Price is firm.
