It’s the kind of instrument that instantly reminds you why truly exceptional vintage guitars are so special. Fresh from decades in a private collection, this remarkable ES-335 is finally available once again, and opportunities like this simply don’t come around often. Cosmetically, the guitar is nothing short of outstanding. Aside from a touch of hanger burn around the headstock and a few honest nicks and dings acquired over more than six decades, it presents in near mint condition. The original Cherry finish remains astonishingly vibrant, with a depth and richness that almost makes it look factory fresh. Of course, a guitar this special has to sound the part and this one absolutely delivers. Loaded with a beautifully voiced pair of original and undisturbed PAF humbuckers, it produces the warm, articulate, and harmonically rich voice that has made early ES-335s legendary. This one is also exceptionally resonant, so much so it nearly feels like itll jump out of your hands while playing. So if you’ve been chasing the iconic Cream era Eric Clapton vibe with the added benefit of having some great PAF’s, this guitar is a no brainer.
