A rare tonal departure from Greg Howe’s typical humbucker setup, this one-of-a-kind LE-924 in Vintage Turquoise Burst delivers the unmistakable clarity and nuance of vintage single-coils—without the hum—thanks to its DiMarzio Area Series pickup configuration. Greg used this guitar for the soaring solo on “A Story’s Ending” and the solo in “Boom Boom Tap,” both from the Maragold album. Its SSS layout provides expressive Strat-style textures, ideal for those signature fusion bends, expressive phrasing, and melodic intricacy. Outfitted with: • Area 58 (neck) – warm and bell-like • Area 67 (middle) – bright and glassy • Area 61 (bridge) – punchy with just the right edge The result is Strat-style versatility, high fidelity, and classic tone with none of the noise.

Unlike the production LE-924 models, this guitar features a genuine Floyd Rose tremolo, ensuring superior tuning stability and feel—essential for Greg’s high-performance playing style. The neck features a 24-fret maple fingerboard with a compound 12"–16" radius, offering smooth transitions from comfortable chording down low to effortless bends and fast runs up high. Co-designed by Greg and former Fender VP Keith Brawley, the LE-924 was built from the ground up to meet the demands of a modern, expressive player. Greg’s personal version pushes that vision further, making this instrument truly one of a kind.

There are a fair amount of surface scratches here and there on the body. There is one small finish ding where you can see exposed wood on upper bout on the top of the body. All cosmetic flaws are from general use over the years so nothing major! The neck has a snaded feel. Super thin profile that allows for very quick playing. Electronics all function as intended. Comes in a hardshell case.
