Here is an excellent example of the legendary 1987 Marshall Silver Jubilee 2554 25/50 watt combo, an amp that needs no introduction!
This particular 2554 was built 4/21/1987 according to the quality inspection stamp on the chassis hand initialed by Jim Marshall himself. This amp is in great shape for being nearly 40 years old and sounds fantastic and everything is working great.
I purchased this amp in 2020 and its been in my studio ever since then.
It has a couple blemishes here and there on the tolex, one of the plastic straps on the top is cracked and it looks like one of the pots were replaced at some point in its life and the speaker cable heat shrink wrap is a bit melted (all shown in the photos). All to be expected on an almost 40 year old valve amplifier. Also the previous owner installed some casters for easy transportation which comes in handy!
This is an awesome Marshall classic thats getting harder to find by the day!
