Vintage 1960's Kent M-20 crystal bullet microphone High Z Harp w cable & box Olson Lafayette Aiwa Philmore

       Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

 You are looking at a rarer early Japanese bullet style microphone that only pops up once in a  blue moon. This is a 1950's ear Kent brand crystal microphone called the M-20. This obscure mic company built several crystal and dynamic model mics during the 1950's and 60's before going out of business. The mic comes with the original short cable and hard to find box.

 The M-20 was a very unique design and the mic is actually a plastic or bake lite design which was common for those early Japanese microphones. It's very lite weight and fairly rugged. The mic actually has an original Aiwa crystal element still inside but it no longer works. The mic is properly wired so any replacement element will do this mic justice and this would be a very fun mic to use with a harmonica.

 A Shure C.M or C.R element would be ideal for this mic. I would be willing to do the retrofit job if you'd like? Just ask and we'll work out the details.

 The M-20 has a nice grey on white color scheme with a clean front cloth pop filter. The mic also has the built in lower joint mechanism allowing the mic to tilt forward and backward as needed once screwed onto any stand you'd prefer to use. There is virtually no wear to this mic as it was very gently used over the past 70 years. Please let the detailed pics be your guide. I would rate the mic a true 9 + on a scale of 1 - 10. It will make a very nice addition to any vintage mic collection or museum.

 You can see that the original cable is included. It's appx 8 feet long and is detachable as where many of these Japanese mics had cables that were directly run straight into the mic.

 The cable works perfectly and is just as nice as the mic and comes with the standard male 1/4 inch end connector.

 The original M-20 box is included as well and in very good condition. A rare accessory that's a great place to keep all the contents when not in use.

 If you like rare and unique then this Kent M-20 will certainly do the trick.
