1993 Gibson Les Paul Standard Honey Burst – Good Wood Years Sweet Perfection!

Are you ready to own a piece of guitar history that screams tone, style, and craftsmanship? Feast your eyes on this 1993 Gibson Les Paul Standard in a sweet and jaw-dropping nitrocellulose lacquer Honey Burst finish. This is no ordinary Les Paul – it’s a rare gem, in very good to excellent vintage condition, with sonic mojo so stunning it’ll stop you in your tracks. Whether you’re a collector, a gigging musician, or a tone chaser, this guitar is your ticket to sonic nirvana. Don’t miss your chance to own a true masterpiece from Gibson’s golden era!

Why This Les Paul is a Must-Have

This '93 Gibson Les Paul Standard is a non-chambered, solid-body beast, built during a time when Gibson was crafting some of the finest instruments in its history. The Honey Burst nitro finish glows with warmth and depth, showcasing a maple top that’s full of grain and character. According to Gibsons records, this was originally sold in Europe and then at some point the guitar made its way to Japan before being brought back to its native country. To say it is well traveled would be an under statement! This baby was destined for players who demand perfection in both aesthetics and performance. With its rich, resonant tone and effortless playability, this Les Paul is ready to shine on stage, in the studio, or in your collection.

These 90’s Gibsons often feature superior wood selection, flawless craftsmanship, and enhanced quality control. This 1993 Les Paul Standard is a prime example of Yamano’s commitment to excellence, boasting a beautiful finish and sound that sets it apart from standard production models.

Tone and Playability

Plug this beauty in, and you’ll be greeted by the iconic Les Paul roar. The Gibson 490R and 498T humbuckers deliver a versatile tonal palette – from warm, creamy cleans to biting, aggressive leads that cut through any mix. The solid mahogany body and maple top provide unparalleled sustain and resonance, while the rosewood fretboard adds a touch of warmth and smoothness to every note. The C-shaped neck is fast and comfortable, perfect for everything from blistering solos to soulful chords. Professionally set up with fresh strings, low action, and spot-on intonation, this guitar plays like a dream right out of the case. Whether you’re channeling classic rock, blues, or modern metal, this Les Paul delivers the goods.

Condition

This '93 Les Paul Standard is in nice, yet player friendly condition for its age, with only a few minor surface scratches dings, along with some lacquer spots with a tiny bit of cloudiness on the top (see pics) and moderate wear on the back – battle scars that add character without detracting from its stunning beauty. The face of the headstock show some wear that is normal for these guitars. The frets show minimal wear, and the neck is straight as an arrow with a fully functional truss rod. The nitrocellulose finish has aged gracefully, enhancing the guitar’s vintage vibe. As a non-chambered model, it carries the full, rich tone that made early 90s Les Pauls so desirable. Add in its Yamano history, and you’ve got a collectible instrument that’s as much an investment as it is a player’s dream.

Why 1993

The 1993 Gibson Les Paul Standard is a standout year for Gibson enthusiasts. Unlike later models that introduced chambering or Burstbucker pickups, this guitar retains the classic, solid construction and 490R/498T pickups that defined the era. Many players and collectors prefer the pre-2002 models for their robust build and traditional feel, making this guitar a favorite among those who know. Forums like Harmony Central and The Les Paul Forum buzz with praise for the 1990's models, with players noting their superior playability and tone compared to some newer iterations.

Own a Legend

This isn’t just a guitar – it’s a statement. From its Honey Burst nitro finish that shimmers under stage lights to its Yamano-selected maple top that demands attention, this 1993 Gibson Les Paul Standard is a rare find. Complete with its original hardshell case, it’s ready to inspire your next riff, solo, or masterpiece. This is your chance to own a piece of Gibson history that’s as playable as it is collectible. Don’t let this one slip away – Yamano Les Pauls rarely come up for sale, and this one’s in a league of its own!

Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy

We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:

- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.

- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.

A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.

We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.

Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.

We are a small business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.
