1960s hagstrom 3 with kings neck. made in Sweden. I bought the body and neck husk and had it put together with fender parts by petr's violin shop in Anchorage Alaska. fender usa highway 66 electronics, knobs, and pickups, fender locking tuners. original hagstrom bridge and tailpiece with original trem arm. original frets and nut. plays amazing with nice low action. there is a crack in the neck pocket laquer that is stable, I tried to capture it in the photos. I was under the impression that the crack was in the wood but I have pulled it apart multiple times to check and it seems to just be in the paint. the neck plate is also glued to the back of the body. comes well packed in a hardshell fender case that is basically brand new. one of a kind piece. I hate to sell it but bills and such.

I have also done a bit of research. this is as far as I can tell a Hagstrom 3 Futurama from about 1963, after the Kent vinyl ones and before the later sculpted/bevelled top models from the late sixties. the body and neck are different colors but as I understand it Hagstrom mixed and matched the colors sometimes so I am pretty sure the body and neck are an original vintage pair. everything else is largely tenderized. it really is an awesome guitar and these rarely pop up, the only futuramas I can find are the late 60s models.
