Never thought I would say this bout a banjo but this is a pretty nice instrument.
My research indicates this is likely a slingerland Maybell tenor banjo ( let me know if I am off the mark here!) from the 20's or 30's.
Nice flamed maple neck!
This is a complete instrument the only issue is , as pictured, the fretboard is separating a bit up near the body but nothing a little wood glue and a bit of clamping would fix right quick. Otherwise is ready to go! with original case.
