Silvertone 1457 [1964 - 1967] - Red Burst
The guitar brand that started a lot of Rock Stars careers, or at least practicing to be a Rock Star!? Names like Bob Dylan, Jimmy Page, John Fogerty, Jack White, Jimi Hendrix, Brian Setzer, Dave Grohl, Beck. They all played at one time or another a Sears Silvertone guitar [made by Danelectro for Sears & Roebucks]. A great collectors piece addition for someone.

Additional Listing Info:
This listing is for one (1) Silvertone Model 1457 with Amp (in Case) (1964-1967) - **AS-IS** and is in GREAT condition considering its age. I found this guitar while cleaning out the mezzanine level of our church. I discovered that it was given to our previous pastor by a church member probably 15 years ago. Prior to that, I think it sat in the persons basement or attic for 45 years prior to our former pastor receiving it. It looks like it has barely been played. There is one minor ding on the back of the neck, could easily be fixed by an expert. Everything is original, from the amp case, the tubes, to the guitar itself. The guitar is small scale and what they call a "Stubby". Amp powers up fine and functions properly. The guitar could use a nice setup. I put new strings on it when I found it, because the ones on it were probably from the 60’s This guitar is NOT new, it’s between 58 - 60 years old. The amp/case is included, so it is not perfect, it's vintage, so repairs are to be eventually expected, if this gets played by someone. I play guitar myself, but have no interest in keeping it. My goal is to sell this guitar amp combo and give the proceeds to our church to purchase other instruments and or a mixer that we need for our church band. **AS-IS**
This would be a very nice addition for someone who collects guitars, so get this vintage guitar setup today! $1,100 OBO, let's make a deal!
Thanks!
Rob
