Up for sale a near mint closet queen Silvertone H-61 single-cutaway electric full-bodied Archtop made by Harmony. This was a top-of-the-line offering for 1957, with a Gibson P-13 pickup in neck position, open Grover tuners, flamed maple back. THE AMAZING: the metal parts that would usually corrode the pickup and tuners are in excellent condition, and there’s hardly any sign of regular use. The headstock edge & logo is crisp! There are no cracks around the output jack. original neck set is excellent! Also has the original maroon string neck strap. THE EXPECTED: There is some minor buckle rash denting at the center back, for the 10 times this guitar was ever played, but no finish loss. The original brown alligator chipboard case has been beaten up a bit, but interior is good. The 2 places where the screws hold the pick guard, the guard is cracking (shown in photos). Tone control doesn’t function as it should, tone cap is 68 years old and needs replacement.
AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, THE PRICE REFLECTS THE RARE CONDITION, because we can’t turn the clock back on condition as much as we’d like to.
Continental US only. Sold as-is. Local Pickup available.
