Fender Esquire Custom (TLC-54B) MIJ 1980"s - Sunburst- replaced neck and Duncan pickup

This guitar has been tastefully upgraded and set up, making it a great player with classic Esquire-style versatility and feel.

The original neck had issues and was replaced with a high-quality Fender Licensed neck made in Japan featuring thin/tall frets that play beautifully. A new nut and upgraded tuners were also installed for improved tuning stability and playability.

At some point the bridge was replaced as well, though the original bridge is included with the sale. The original pickup is no longer present and has been replaced with a great-sounding Seymour Duncan pickup. I’m unsure of the exact model, but it definitely has a vintage-style character and tone.

The electronics were recently redone with new CTS pots and wired in a vintage Esquire-style configuration:

• Position 1: Bass-heavy preset tone
• Position 2: Standard tone control engaged
• Position 3: Direct-to-output wiring with no tone control for extra presence and slight volume boost

The guitar was also freshly set up and is playing great.

Cosmetically, it presents very clean overall with only a few small dings and signs of normal use. Includes the padded gig bag shown in the photos.
