The Digitone Keys is something of a rarity, as Elektron doesn't seem to know how to market keyboard versions of its boxes, because, similarly to the Monomachine Keys (though it probably wasn't THAT bad this time), few of them sold. The unique layout—a godsend for me, as the keyboard could fit on a windowsill next to my desk or be more easily positioned on a table—may seem odd at first glance, but once you get the hang of it, everything falls into place nicely.
The Digitone is a well-thought-out groovebox/FM synthesis machine. The additional potentiometers, plus the added functionality of the Keys, completely transform the experience of using this device compared to a standard DN. It's much more of a musical instrument than a computer for making techno/IDM. For many, the main advantage will be the separate outputs; once you have the right interface, it completely opens up the possibilities of processing the instrument's signal. Overall, it's built like a tank and in excellent condition. It includes a power supply and flight case. I'm buying Sequential and need to liquidate some cash, so I'm selling it at an attractive price.
