Rare 1970s Vintage K. Country H.C. Handcrafted Series D-008 – Made in Japan

Kasuga Musical Instruments Co., Ltd., the maker of K. Country guitars, is a long-established manufacturer founded in Nagoya in 1935.
This model, the D-008, belongs to the H.C. Handcrafted Series — a dreadnought-style acoustic made with exceptional care and craftsmanship.

During Japan’s 1970s folk boom, many guitar makers competed to create high-quality instruments.
Among them, Kasuga guitars stood out for their superb build quality and resonant tone, which still shines today.

The top is solid spruce, with mahogany sides and back.
Although it’s a dreadnought, the body is slightly thinner than standard, making it more comfortable for Japanese players.

Compared to standard K. Country models, this one features higher-grade tonewoods and handcrafted precision.
It’s also equipped with Grover-style tuners and has become an extremely rare model on the vintage market.

Please check the movie (QR code in the pictures) for a detailed look at the sound and condition.
