The 85 is one of EMG's first pickups and is loaded with Alnico V magnets. The Alnico magnets of this model provide a muscular growl and smooth lead tones enabling you to play everything from the blues to the most extreme metal. Used in the neck or bridge position, the EMG 85 sounds great thanks to its exceptional smoothness and soul.
This example is “known good” from a guitar I have swapped pickups, and in great cosmetic condition. Includes an EMG B245 pickup buss and all pictured parts and wiring - you will need your own switch, knobs and second pickup if required.
