Vintage 1964 Selmer Truvoice Bassmaster 50 Croc Skin Valve Amplifier Head *1960s*
It's not often you find an original 'crocodile period' Selmer Truvoice Bassmaster 50 head. I found this in West London, where it had been for many decades. The amplifier includes some 1970s replacement EL34, but the original (3 of 4) Mullard ECC83 valves. The transformers have had some work done to them. The mains transformer is a nice original lay-down (Marshall style!) replacement from the late 1960s, and the output transformer is a slightly later Douglas transformer. The choke is original to the amplifier. With the transformer changes, the rectifier valve has been removed. The condition of this is very good indeed, as pictured. It is an amazing example. This amplifier has been serviced to a playable & safe standard, by one of our leading amp techs.
