Catalinbread’s Soft Focus Deluxe is nothing short of a suite of shoegaze tone-crafting delights, placing spatial and temporal effects in an interwoven constellation that revolves around a diverse distortion. With the SFX Tap, Catalinbread supplies a dedicated tap tempo footswitch to expand your sonic contouring to encompass unbridled dimensions of time-tampering possibilities. Its rugged form factor and pint-sized footprint mean the SFX Tap punches well above its weight. It hosts dual 1/4-inch jacks — one TRS, one TS — to supplant the Soft Focus Deluxe’s Time knob with a tempo that you tap into a rhythm. Gigging guitarists have discovered the SFX Tap opens an array of prismatic possibilities, supporting sound design via hyper-synchronized use of the Soft Focus Deluxe’s armature of Reverb, Delay, Modulation, Octave, among other time-dependent effects. Finally, the SFX Tap's vivid LED indicator gives you rock-solid visual feedback as you dial in your tempo, and the flexibility of the SFX Tap’s architecture lets you utilize the footswitch as a master clock for multiple effects!
