50 years of 90.

Released in 1972 as MXR’s first offering, the Phase 90 launched one of the most iconic music effects companies and established itself as the pedal by which all other phasers are judged. No matter the genre or instrument, its distinctly lush voice will elevate any musician’s tonal palette.

More than a phase.

The Phase 90 has been a mainstay on the pedal boards of millions of players around the globe ever since. The greatest guitar players—from David Gilmour and Eddie Van Halen to Tom Morello and John Mayer—have used this pedal to expand the canon of rock ’n’ roll.

A masterpiece finish.

The Phase 90’s orange finish is instantly recognizable to anyone who’s ever played in a band—it’s almost as much a part of its identity as the swooshes and swirls it infuses into the sound of your instrument. But we think a masterpiece pedal deserves the masterpiece treatment with this special 50th anniversary edition gold finish.

Display it or play it.

The MXR 50th Anniversary Phase 90 is worthy of a privileged place in your finest display case—but it’ll fit perfectly on your pedalboard, too. Join us as we celebrate its legendary legacy, whether you’re admiring its luxurious sheen or basking in its spatially shimmering tones.
