Stephen Sank last year did $2000 worth of redesign/upgrade to make this the most musically rich & transparent four channels of mic preamp possible AND the most long-term reliable, going as far as building an entirely new 4ch output stage line driver board to allow entire signal path after the tube stage to be DC-coupled, i.e., no capacitors in signal path. This is, without doubt, the best bang for the buck per channel mic preamp in existence.
