This is the Fernandes Explorer EX-160, a rare guitar made in Japan in the 1980s by the Matsumoku factory.

The EX160 is the same as the Night Ranger Jeff Watson Signature Explorer, except for the color of the hardware. This guitar has chrome hardware.

This guitar is the same size as a Gibson Explorer.

Although it was the highest-end model at the time, there are very few of them and very little information available.

So please take a good look at the photos and if you're happy with it, go ahead and buy it. It's a great guitar!

Plays and works fine.

There are several scratches, stains and rust.

It is most common on the back and corners of the body.

However, considering it's a 40-year-old vintage, I think it's in good condition.

All Original?  There's very little information available about this guitar, so it's unclear. One thing is for sure: The EMG pickups were replaced in the 90's and the pots have definitely been changed. They have the new CTS pots.
