JC Clean: The benchmark for clean guitar sound

For 40 years, musicians around the world have paid tribute to the distinctive, massively stereo clean sound of the JC-120 Jazz Chorus amp. With the JC-40, you can now enjoy this sonic standard in a smaller amp featuring the latest technological innovations. Two independent power amps and specially designed 10-inch (25.4 cm) speakers deliver punchy stereo sound that will always stand out in a band. The rugged cabinet design, suitable for touring conditions, ensures years of reliable performance in concert and in the studio.

The Famous Stereo Chorus and Other Effects

Beyond its renowned stratospheric clean sound, the JC-40 features completely redesigned built-in effects to enrich your performances. With immersive 3D sound, the stereo Dimensional Space Chorus can add a new dimension to your music, and now offers Fixed or Manual modes to expand tonal possibilities. Revised vibrato and reverb effects are available, both operating in stereo for even greater tonal richness. A more flexible distortion is also included to suit all musical styles. A stereo input for multi-effects, modeling, and synths

With its front-panel stereo input, the JC-40 allows musicians to use stereo effects sources to achieve ultra-wide tones without having to carry two separate amps. The amp's rich, clean sound lets you get the most out of external effects pedals such as delays, reverbs, and other modulation effects. It's also perfect for advanced devices that use amp modeling, sound synthesis, and/or multi-effects: BOSS GT-100, GP-10, ME-80, Roland GR-55 guitar synth, etc.

Ideal for pedal enthusiasts

If you love creating your own sound using individual pedals, there's no better source than a classic JC Clean amp. The rich, neutral sound it produces doesn't color your original guitar tone, and you hear exactly what the pedal is trying to convey. Get Connected

The JC-40's rear panel is packed with connectivity options. An effects loop allows you to patch mono or stereo effects, and you can choose to operate in series or parallel. The Line Out output lets you send a mono or stereo signal to a mixer or recorder, while the headphone output is perfect for playing silently, late at night, or on the road. External pedals can also be connected, allowing you to automatically turn the JC-40's chorus/vibrato, reverb, and distortion effects on or off while you continue playing.
