Wine red 1975 Les Paul Deluxe, Standard Conversion with original black hardshell case with purple interior.
It’s a very easy playing, good feeling, guitar, with nice low action that sounds great.
The finish has some wear, typical for a 45 year old guitar. It’s got the usual signs of being played, like buckle rash, and worming on the backside of the body, various nicks, chips, dents, dings, and surface scratches, but the finish is still beautiful, with great vintage vibes.
It has a slender profile, 3-piece maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots.
1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.
Beautiful rosewood fingerboard pearloid trapezoid inlays. It has been re-fretted with jumbo frets, and upgraded with Schaller tuners. The binding is still completely intact, with no nibs.
The original mini-humbucker pick-up cavities have been modified to accommodate full sized humbuckers, and wood posts are glued in to the corners to accommodate the pickup rings.
The neck pickup is a 67-75 Patent Sticker T-Top, (which seems to have had a white bobbin added), giving it a nice, full sound, with great, thick tone.
The bridge pick-up is a blank backplate, braided steel lead, and 12 adjustable pole screws (6 flat head screws, 6 Allen screws), which has one t-top bobbin, and a white as well. It provides nice highs, with tasty tone as well. Manufacturer unknown.
Black 70’s speed knobs.
The bridge is an ABR-1 patent no. bridge from a '66 to ' 70 guitar. The original anchors removed, it was dowelled, and the posts screwed directly into body, with extra thumbwheels on the posts.
All modifications were done before the previous owner acquired it from a Las Vegas pawn shop in the 80’s. The routes are clean & straight, and the modifications seem to have been performed by a skilled luthier.
