I have a 2019 PRS S2 Vela here with a PRS Se soft case. Guitar weight is 6lbs 9 ounces. It is stock with the exception of upgraded strap buttons with matching black strap locks.
This one is in Nice condition and I will describe my findings.
This guitar shows one notable mark. On the bottom body edge near the lower strap button. There is a little chip to the layer of the finish about a couple centimeters in size. Not all the way down to the wood it looks like just a little outer layer of finish took a little ding there. See the last picture for that.
Beyond that the rest of the guitar looks excellent. The body top, back and the rest of the sides/edges show just superficial swirling type signs of use with no notable marks. And no buildup of pattern play where there is no buckle rash or worming. Any superficial swirling will be scattered and minimal without any patterns forming of that or any all over Sheen of any of that.
The neck looks excellent throughout I did not find any bumps or dings. And I am happy to report there is no fretwear. The Frets look excellent with no divots or pits the setup plays fantastic which is often the case with PRS guitars. This one plays beautifully the electronics are stock and working like they should be.
This one rates an 8.7/10 and grades as very good. With demerits pretty much for just one mark. So we have one ding in an indiscreet spot. On a guitar that looks excellent pretty much everywhere else. So it balances out nicely. It has a great neck perfect frets and looks and plays great.
This guitar is a little under the radar as it is viewed somewhat as just an inexpensive PRS. That in itself is a good virtue. But i must say it is a very nice sounding guitar.
This mahogany bodied guitar has a beautiful natural resonance to it. The bridge humbucker has a nice powerful dynamic output, and the neck pickup is suited towards a tighter, clear, more enunciated tone. Making this a versatile guitar. More so then a double humbucker oriented guitar.
It's contours and shape are very comfortable. It is a joy to play and is also setup well. It retains it's factory setup and is easy on the fingers.
The S2 line in general is very well regarded. I find that it is a very respectful tone and quality set for this price point. The hardware and electronics i believe are the same quality as core PRS and have a distinct effect on the overall voicing of the guitar.
So this is just a pleasant sounding, excellent playing, lightweight, toneful guitar at a good price.
Note that this listing may come down at anytime as I am a multi-platform seller and do sell locally and on my own Site as well in an effort to keep sales fluid. State sales tax will be charged on Reverb sales when applicable, so factor that in to your purchase.
I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
Thank you for reading and considering!
