Acquired this in 1978 from original owner. It is complete with original foot switch and stand (which I have yet to see in any other unit for sale). Originally developed by Vox and Thomas organ for reeded horns, off-label use with guitars and keyboards yields interesting and unique results. The circuitry by Thomas Organ produces a timbre like drawbars on an organ, rather than octaves produced by a stomp box. An electric guitar through the unit sounds not all unlike the legendary Guitorgan. Use of a sustain pedal between guitar and the unit input helps maintain a steady signal, like breath through a horn that aids consistent tone. The control panel consists of 4 rotary knobs: Instrument Blend, Master Volume, Stereo Balance, Vibrato Rate. Below those controls are 11 L/R Rocker switches; Instrument L/R; One Octave Up: Soprano Sax, Violin; One Octave Down: Cello, Saxophone, Clarinet; Two Octaves Down: Saxophone, Clarinet, Vox Bass; AVC Delay/Off; Vibrato Full/Light. On the right side of the control panel, down in the box, there is a rotary AVC Adjustment, DIN Foot Pedal input, 1/4” (MONO) Left Out, 1/4” Right Out, 1/4” Input and a Selection Switch for Clarinet or Sax. The Foot Pedal has 4 switches marked L to R; a “momentary” switch marked V; 3PDT switch marked I (input); 3PDT switch marked L (left); 3PDT switch marked R (right). The L/R Instrument rocker switch connection was broken (internally) when I obtained the unit; L side only engages. It was perfectly suitable for my purposes, so I never pursued repair. The footswitch DIN cable has gotten stiff from age and sometimes needs adjustment for good connection. It needs to be replaced. Like any piece of electronic gear that is 50+ years old, it is due for a thorough technical inspection; repair of the L/R switch and a new DIN cable for the foot pedal will restore it's original lustre. Regardless, an all-original-parts unit like this is a unicorn. My eyes have seen you.
