This Pre Owned Fender 1979 Stratocaster in Natural finish with Maple fingerboard is in excellent condition for its age. We've had it on our workbench for a thorough check over and the body on this one is dated '81, the neck is '79 and the pots are '78. We believe the pickups and wiring to be original. It came to us with a non-original scratchplate and backplate fitted but the original scratchplate is included along with the tremolo arm in a non-original hardcase. Unlike some Strats from this era this is a nice weight and any genuine play wear and tear blends in well with the wood grain.

It does have cosmetic wear and tear throughout but nothing out of the ordinary. Dinks, scuffs and scratches as well as some lacquer wear on the neck and edge of the fingerboard. There are a handful of small marks on the back of the neck but overall it is very nice to play. They are more than likely the original frets but hard to say 100%. They are in good condition with life in them yet. All hardware and electronics working as they should.

We've given it a full set up and healthcheck in our workshop with fresh set of D'Addario EXL110's (10-46) and it's now ready to find a new home.
