Here’s a September 1965 black-panel Pro Reverb in really nice player condition. Footswitch and non-original slip cover included. External tolex and grill are original. The speakers are also original but have been reconed, they were going bad when I acquired the amp. The original reverb tank had to be replaced, repeated repairs to it weren’t lasting so it now has a MOD replacement tank. I’ve had this amp give or take 10-15 years, I bought it from a now-defunct music store in Ft Worth. It‘s been recapped, power-cord replaced with a 3-prong, death-cap removed. All mods & restorations described here were done in the time I’ve owned and played it by an excellent local tech. Any of these simple mods are reversible, the amp is unmolested. The reverb and tremolo have been wired to both channels. A pot has also been installed in the external speaker jack to control the ”Dwell” of the reverb, just like that control on standalone Fender Reverb units. It controls how much signal hits the reverb circuit, you can really dial it in to one’s liking. The standard Reverb knob on the front panel still works the same, which is actually a MIX control.
