Very Cool Shaded Golden Sunburst 1968 Gretsch 6117 Double Anniversary in Good Condition!

Up for grabs is a super vibey 1968 Gretsch 6117 Double Anniversary in its original Shaded Golden Sunburst finish a beautifully aged example of late-’60s Gretsch magic with all the right kind of wear and mojo.

This one shows its age in all the best ways: there's a fair amount of finish checking, scuffs, and honest playwear throughout, especially on the top and edges. No artificial relic here this is the real deal. The binding is intact (a blessing for Gretsches of this era), and the neck joint is solid. It's been played, loved, and survived the decades with character to spare.

Factory dual HiLo'Tron pickups deliver that classic, jangly Gretsch tone woody, chimey cleans and gritty, garage-y growl when pushed. Think early rock, Nashville twang, or indie cool it covers the bases. Electronics are all functioning as they should, and the controls have that familiar Gretsch feel.

The neck has a comfortable, slightly chunky C profile not baseball bat territory, but substantial enough to feel vintage. Frets are in solid shape with plenty of life left, and it plays well up and down the board with medium-low action.

Comes in a non-original hardshell case, which keeps it safe and cozy.

This one’s not for the collector looking for mint it’s for the player who wants authentic vintage tone, dripping vibe, and no fear of taking it to the gig. A perfect road-worn Gretsch that’s got stories baked into the lacquer.
