This is a 1982

Gibson XR-2 Les Paul in Excellent condition and a Vintage piece at 43 years old. The XR-2 was a United Kingdom specific model that featured non carved Mahogany/Maple body , a 3 piece Maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and dot enlays , Firebird humbucker pickups not the mini's with pole pieces , a stock coil tap switch , a chrome tunamatic bridge with a stop tailpiece , Gibson tulip tuning keys with Gibson on each key. Not quite as flashy as the Les Paul standard , but a highly functional model with great tone variations with the coil tap and the nylon saddles. A Highly sought after Les Paul especially in the U.K. . She comes with the original hardshell Gibson case , these have become scarce especially in this condition. There are currently no others listed on the Verb although in the past there have been some nice ones. I absolutely 💯 % Love it , it sounds absolutely phenomenal ! Excellent!
