Vintage, Made in USA 1979 Ovation Bass - Magnum III. Pewter finish. Perhaps the most usable Magnum version (depending on who you ask). Comes with what looks like the original hard shell case. Although it has been sitting for some time, it's safe to say that this beast saw a few late nights over the years. Cosmetically, it has a lot personality. Battle scars include a respectable belt buckle rash - the kind that people actually fake these days. A bit of the headstock crown is gone. This is only cosmetic and definitely adds to the character. All electronics working perfectly. It sounds great. Extremely playable. Neck is nice and straight. You will, of course, want to set it up to your liking. This thing really is a beast. It kind of falls into a category with a Ripper or Adamas. Chrome hardware still looks great. The bridge is overbuilt and powerful, with some expected some metal pitting to show it's age. In fact, the whole bass really does show it's age in a respectable way. That said, it should be considered a proper players bass- not some Museum piece. The case is also a beast, but note the two outside latches are completely gone. Middle one works fine. To the best of my knowledge it is the original case. Serial is B 5082
