Roland SN-550
This uniit is in workable condition.
The is pulled from my own professional working studio.
The display does not light, and does not work. The A channel threshold is missing the knob.
The unit works, without the display or backlight. The backlight is 2 burned out bulbs.
The display is LCD, but the LCD does not show anything happening, no feedback information.
The unit works as far as removing line noise is concerned. I was able to notice a significant difference when removing digital artifacts, it did a decent job. I would say its on par with iZotope suite of noise reduction. It did more then compression, or EQ, or just ducking, it did generally take high-frequency digital noise and generally removed it. If you were looking for a low cost iZotope solution this would work.
I tested it using 1/4" in and XLR out, the line auto and manual modes made some difference, especially for some older model units. The hum circuit has an auto mode, but I was not able to hear that much from it.
