I use one piece of Gavitt wire running through all the switch connections to the volume pot for the clearest, purest signal possible.  I also use high temperature insulation between the soldered tabs on the switch to help protect against accidental grounding if your cavity is tight.

Please note:  These are USA spec components, and have a 3/8" bushing diameter and length.  If you have a Squier or other import tele you might have to open up the holes, or buy a different mounting plate.  Contact me if you are going to install this in a guitar that does not have a mounting plate.  It will need an additional ground.
