The Falcon 20 resurrects the iconic Gibson amp and delivers vintage sound, reimagined in an enhanced package with valuable new features and all the original magic intact, and more.

While inspired by the Gibson Falcon amps of the 1960s, this all-new design from renowned amp pioneer Randall Smith and the MESA/Boogie design team is handcrafted in Petaluma, California, and sets a new bar for low-wattage tone. The Falcon 20 stands out from its predecessors due to the construction and tonal improvements discovered over Randall's five decades of tube amp design experience and performance-driven philosophy that deliver nothing short of astonishing results.

The Falcon 20 features single-channel simplicity with a focus on exceptional sound and ease of use. The ultra-simple and pure signal path design includes compound volume and tone controls, along with the addition of foot-switchable reverb and tremolo, which add dimensionality and movement, greatly enhancing the amp's enjoyment and usefulness across a wide range of musical styles.

Savvy players have long understood that one of the secrets to great overdriven tone is power amp overdrive, and lower-wattage amps are essential for boosting and achieving that pushed power amp sound without overwhelming volume levels. The Gibson Falcon 20 1x12 Combo is ideal for those who demand nuanced, touch-sensitive response at the low-to-mid end of the gain and power spectrum, with a harmonically rich blend of vintage power amp overdrive when engaged. All this tonal magic comes to life through the vintage voice of a 12-inch Jensen® Blackbird 40 Alnico speaker, which perfectly complements the volume range and Class A power section. Players can choose between full, half, or low power modes (12, 5, or 1 watts) of patented Multi-Watt™, 6V6, pure Class A power, or 15, 6, or 2 watts with the optional 6L6 power tubes, delivering three levels of expressive, vintage Gibson tone and feel. This power flexibility allows for even more ways to seamlessly and musically dial in and out of a clip, making the Falcon 20 an ideal amp for club gigs, home practice, and recording.
