Jackson Pro Series Phil Demmel Signature Demmelition Pro King V, NOS (new old stock) condition, NECK-THRU construction, Floyd Rose Tremolo, Active EMG pickups, RED with BLACK BEVELS, with OEM Jackson FLYING V Hardshell Case, original accessories.

Please read the entire listing prior to messaging or purchasing (no offers, no trades, and no returns).

If you are looking at this listing, you may already know the Jackson DEMMELITION guitar is the signature model of Phil Demmel, the legendary axe grinder who was in the heavy metal band Machine Head. This Pro Series model in the King V shape has long been discontinued, so there is a bit of rarity and collectability associated with it.

The modified King V body shape was exclusive to the Demmelition model. The RED with BLACK bevels color scheme appears to be the most difficult color scheme to find.

I bought this guitar brand new from Sam Ash back in 2018. It was the very last RED one they had in stock. 2018 was the final year for the RED body with a matching RED headstock, too. This axe has a super killer look to it that is like no other.

After receiving the guitar, I removed the 9V battery and tucked it away in climate-controlled storage. It is new and unplayed. Watch the embedded video for more information and specs on this professional-grade axe.

The weight of this guitar as measured on the shop postal scale is 7 pounds, 6.5 ounces with a 9V battery installed.

Jackson's Demmelition Pro model puts Machine Head guitarist Phil Demmel's devastating style and double-cut King V specs right in your hands, Features include a three-piece through-body maple neck with graphite reinforcement, compound-radius (12"-16") bound ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and Alumiloid Shark Fin inlays, EMG® 60 (neck) and 81 (bridge) humbucking pickups with three-way toggle switching, Floyd Rose® locking nut and recessed double-locking tremolo, and black hardware.

Shout out to EGA Guitars in St. Paul, Texas for including all of Jackson's specs for this guitar into their listing. Their shop has a similar model for sale here on Reverb.

Below is a list of the specs copied from the EGA Guitars listing, with a few changes to match the coloration on this particular Demmelition.

CASE

Jackson hardshell Y-shaped case for flying V guitars 2018 MSRP: 269.99

2018 MSRP total for Demmelition (1866.65) plus OEM hardshell case (269.99): 2136.64

Jackson's guitar prices have increased 3% per year on average. Multiplying the 2018 MSRP of 2136.64 times 1.03 eight times yields an extrapolated MSRP of 2706.63 for the guitar alone if it was made available in 2026.

The Jackson hardshell Y-shaped case for flying V guitars is still available at an MSRP of 289.99.

Adding the MSRP's of the 2 pieces of gear together, the resulting total would be 2996.62 for the guitar and the case in 2026.

2026 extrapolated MSRP total for Demmelition with OEM hardshell case: 2996.62

The above-stated specs appear to be accurate, but a mistake or a typo is always possible. If any spec is super critical to you as a potential buyer, or a spec looks incorrect, or you want to have it double-checked for correctness, contact me before purchasing the guitar and I will do my best to get the spec confirmed.

This guitar was discontinued 2018, but I could still send a message out to Jackson, and they would likely still be able to provide us with an answer.

This professional-grade Jackson guitar is NOS, which is essentially a brand new, unplayed guitar. It will be shipped to the buyer in the same condition it was received by me from Sam Ash. Absolutely NO RETURNS. This is a rare NOS guitar, suitable for display in a museum, and the pricing is based on it being in brand-new condition.

Even though this guitar is NOS, it is being sold as-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. The RED w/BLACK Pro Series Demmelition Pro King V guitar will be given a functionality test (unfretted) into an amplifier prior to shipping to ensure all electronic components operate normally without any pops, crackles, or other abnormal sounds being generated from the instrument.

On a side note, this guitar was only handled, tested, and photographed while nitrile gloves were being worn, as is shop policy. This protocol keeps the guitars clean, as new, and free of fingerprints.

Please research all aspects of this part or piece of gear via internet searches, YouTube videos, Facebook groups, brick-and-mortar music stores, musician’s blogs, manufacturer’s demo clips, etc. It is your responsibility to fully understand the details, pros, cons, and particulars surrounding this part or piece of gear before finalizing the sale from your Reverb shopping cart. Message me with any questions prior to purchasing this item and consider all sales to be final as stated in the Reverb listing.

This shop does not offer a 'try it first' option. If you buy this part or piece of gear and for some reason do not like its sound, operation, functionality, fit, feel, finish, coloration, or whatever else, it will be your turn to list the item as being for sale from your Reverb shop. By purchasing this item, you are confirming that you agree and accept all the terms of sale outlined in this listing.

NOTE: The Reverb ‘Make Offer’ button was intentionally de-selected when this listing was created. Pricing is set to what seems fair and reasonable based on other similar items listed or historical sales amounts. Pricing is based on the piece of gear itself, its availability in the open market, and its condition. Prices may be adjusted up or down periodically depending on the market. Please do not contact the shop with offers of less than the current listed price. Additionally, the shop is in the process of ‘thinning the herd’ to reduce the volume of gear sitting in storage and therefore is not able to entertain offers of trades either.

Shipping will be to the continental lower 48 USA states only, Hawaii and Alaska excluded. Per Reverb's shipping rules, the package will be issued a shipping label within 3 days (72 hours) after the time of purchase. At this point, the gear is considered shipped by the Reverb system, even if the package has not been scanned in by the courier or physically loaded onto a truck. Buyers will be notified as soon as the package is physically in the hands of the courier. A tracking number should become active on the Reverb website within 24 hours after the drop-off time.

Smaller boxes containing parts, Euro rack modules, or effects pedals can usually be shipped via USPS Ground Advantage. Larger boxes containing rack-mounted gear, guitars, or basses normally ship via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground. Both couriers give estimates of up to 5 DAYS in transit after receiving the package. The day the package is dropped off or picked up by the courier is not included in this estimate, so this adds 1 MORE DAY to the total shipping estimate.

Doing the math, 3 DAYS to ship + 1 DAY for pickup or processing at the courier's hub + 5 DAYS in transit + 1 Sunday = 10 DAYS total. Although purchased items have made it to their new owners within 7 DAYS, it can take 10 DAYS or MORE from the time of purchase for a package to reach the destination address. How long the delivery takes is dependent on multiple factors, including the distance from Loveland CO to the destination address, courier slowdowns due to adverse weather conditions, unexpected courier delays, and mistakes made by the courier while the package is in transit. By purchasing this piece of gear, you are acknowledging the facts stated above and confirming that you are accepting the estimates provided therein regarding the delivery of your package.

Reverb Safe Shipping FULL COVERAGE insurance costs range from 1.0% to 3.0% of the selling price, which would be 58 dollars for this gear if the rate ends up being 2.0%. This cost, along with the cost of all packaging materials (large guitar box, foam, bubble wrap, tape, etcetera), is included in the shipping total shown in the listing. Per the shipping insurance rules, a signature will be required for delivery.

All parts and pieces of gear will be professionally packaged inside a sturdy cardboard box prior to shipping, with ample space and padding surrounding the item. Any open spaces will be filled with Styrofoam peanuts, cornstarch peanuts, Kraft paper, foam, and/or bubble wrap for maximum protection of the part or piece of gear.
