Martin 00-28 Modern Deluxe

The Martin 00-28 Modern Deluxe offers a fresh perspective on a classic vintage design, blending traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge innovations. This instrument is a tonal powerhouse, featuring a spruce top treated with Martin's VINTAGE TONE SYSTEM® (VTS). This proprietary aging process gives the wood the rich, complex sound of a guitar that has been played for decades. The meticulous construction, including a dovetail neck joint and natural protein glue, further enhances the resonant qualities of the tonewoods. This guitar delivers a sound that is both vintage and modern, with the power and clarity to inspire players of all styles.

The back and sides of this guitar are crafted from solid Indian rosewood. The dense and hard properties of rosewood are known for producing a powerful sound with deep basses and brilliant trebles. Its tonal characteristics are often described as warm, rich, and full, with excellent note separation and a strong fundamental. The rosewood is complemented by the spruce VTS top, which adds a clear, ringing quality that projects beautifully. These tonewoods, combined with modern features like Liquidmetal® bridge pins and a carbon fiber bridgeplate, create a truly unique and versatile instrument. While not a signature model, the 00-28 size and rosewood/spruce combination have been a favorite of countless musicians for generations, including folk legends and fingerstyle masters.
