Fresher Straighter MIJ “The Good Old Times 1950s-1960s” Black JV Strat Japan

This is a very nice Fresher Straighter Strat made in Japan by Chushin Gakki between the late 1970s and the early 1980s. The headstock reads “The Good Old Time’s 1950s-1960s” and this appears to be tribute or reissue of the late 50s/early 1960s Fender Strats. In my opinion, Chushin Gakki has produced some of the best guitars to come out of the “Golden Era” of Japanese guitar making. These were made exclusively for the Japanese market and are among the more underrated Japanese guitars, at least in the USA.

This guitar has new strings and just had a professional setup. The neck is straight and plays great with nice low action. The frets show little wear and has plenty of life left. There is no buzzing, fretting out, or issues to mention. The truss rod turns freely in both directions with plenty of room for future adjustments. One or two of the knobs are replaced and the backplate as well as the trem arm is missing. There is a fair bit of minor nicks, chips, scratches, and scuffs. All imperfections are well pictured and hard to notice in person. This does not come with a case but it will be packed with lots of bubble wrap and extra precautions taken.
