There were a number of limited run series made for large Japanese guitar shops, such as Yamano, these can be spotted by the lack of a pickguard hole as they were ordered with the pickguards off, and are sometimes, but not always, solid flame tops This guitar has NO pickguard hole so therfore a limited run.
A 1991 Orville by Gibson guitar, specifically those made in Japan, would have been built at the Terada factory. The Orville by Gibson line was managed by Gibson for the Japanese market and produced between 1988 and 1998. These guitars were known for their quality craftsmanship and were often compared to higher-end Gibson models. There are dings, dents, scratches but no cracks or repiars.
Case is unkown but seems sturdy even with a nice handle.
