This Bach trumpet has serial number 2091, placing the year around 1933 - 1934 (closer to 33). The trumpet model is 7-10-62. The 7-10 indicates a blend between the #7 and #10 mandrels, while the 62 indicates the bore size of 0.462. This trumpet is was mad in New York. Articles suggest that later this "hybrid" bell was renamed to the #25 around the 1935 mark.
Description of sound:
According to the Bach loyalist website, the #25 bell sounds "Sharper, slightly tighter and more focused projection than 37. Similar in characteristics to the Benge 3X bell."
With positive notes of a "Tight, focused sound. Great for lead type playing in night clubs, etc."
