What is a “Factory Demonstration Model”?

This is a nearly new guitar that has been used only to demonstrate its performance by an ESP sales rep and is offered for sale at a discounted price. The guitar's specific condition will be described in the listing and any marks will be noted. We complete a full factory setup and hand-inspection before shipping. It should also be mentioned that a “Demonstration Model” comes with ESP's Factory Warranty.

This newly-updated EC-1000 offers a luxurious, upscale look with its quilted maple top, See Thru Black Cherry finish, and special aesthetic touches like multi-ply body and headstock binding, with sleek black hardware complementing the overall design. You also get set-thru construction at 24.75” scale with a smooth heel joint, pairing a mahogany body and three-piece mahogany neck. This EC-1000 also offers the modern amenities for today’s music performance styles, including a TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece, LTD locking tuners, a Macassar ebony fingerboard with ESP flag inlays, and 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets. Its sound is powered by a set of direct-mount Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker active pickups (ceramic in the bridge and alnico in the neck), with push-pull control to select voicings and black nickel covers to match this guitar’s outstanding aesthetics. Each pickup offers two voices. With the ceramic bridge pickup, Voice 1 is the ultimate high-output ceramic humbucker bridge pickup tone… crisp, searing crunch, tight bass with no mud, and a growl. Voice 2 delivers modern passive attack performance that has superbly organic distortion characteristics with outstanding dynamics and response. The alnico neck pickup’s Voice 1 is Fishman’s modern active high-output tone, offering the ideal active alnico sound: full, round, and boosted, but with unprecedented articulation and dynamics. Voice 2 gives you the crisp, clean and fluid neck humbucker tone you’ve always wanted.

Note: After close inspection, this instrument has finish scratching throughout, a chip on the bottom edge of the body, and finish bleed in the binding. (See pics, light reflections used to show wear)
