Ivy Pedals X-Synth was designed to be a bare-bones synth pedal and is optimized for maximum sustain. This pedal takes your guitar's input, and turns it into a square/rectangle wave before sending it through a resonant, 2-pole CMOS low-pass filter. This filter is the "tone" section, and to state it simply, the Frequency control removes high frequencies and the Resonance control removes low frequencies (and emphasizes the Frequencies near the cutoff, of course). The X-Synth will accept almost any audio input, and will work with guitar, bass, synthesizers, and more. The output can be extremely hot, and since chords will ring through the effect, this pedal can also act as a devastating fuzz or distortion. Many users consider this to be more of a fuzz than anything...

Controls:

Freq. - Low-Pass Filter Frequency Cutoff

Reso. - Low-Pass Filter Resonance (AKA Q, Emphasis)

Adjust - sustain/input gain/gating response

Volume - output volume level (loud)

The 2025 X-Synth features true bypass switching, a violet indicator LED, black I/O hardware, and runs on the standard center-negative 9v DC power input. Input on right, output on left!
