The Fender Custom Shop Twisted Telecaster Custom Journeyman Relic 2-Color Sunburst electric guitar is a well-modified Telecaster design with special pickups, a Bigsby vibrato, a turned control plate and other features that clearly claim their place in the sun.
The guitar's body is made of two pieces of ash. The Journeyman Relic finish and 2-Color Sunburst color scheme offer elements of artificial patina that correspond to decades of normal, rather domestic use. The neck with a period profile of '57-style Soft "V" is made of a single piece of maple (rift-sawn cut), the fingerboard area is divided by twenty-one Narrow Tall (6105) frets.
Hand-wound Twisted Tele pickups from the Custom Shop give the guitar a really hot high-output Telecaster guitar sound with a bit of Strat character. The Fat '50s electronics offer a slightly thicker tone, the response of the volume and tone controls is precise and even without the typical loss of treble when turning down the volume. The control plate rotation will especially suit musicians who often work with the volume potentiometer while playing.
The strings are mounted in the company's vintage-style tuners and the aforementioned Bigsby vibrato. The stylish workmanship is underlined by a single-ply parchment pickguard. The guitar is delivered in a case along with a guitar strap and a certificate of authenticity.
