The Fender '67 Telecaster electric guitar is still a highly prized and sought-after model among collectors after almost sixty years. It's no wonder - with its two-piece ash body, Bigsby B5 vibrato and RSD J-Bridge bridge, it will stand out in almost any guitar collection.
And this is exactly the model that the 1967 Telecaster Bigsby DLX Closet Classic electric guitar from the Fender Custom Shop recalls. The DLX Closet Classic finish, with subtle elements of artificial patina in the form of subtle oxidation of metal parts, fine surface scratches on the body and headstock of the guitar, slight fading of plastic parts and a faded shine, is intended to evoke an instrument that has rarely been taken out of its case for decades or has been completely forgotten in it for a long time.
The body of the guitar is made of two pieces of ash. The maple neck offers a period '60s-style Oval "C" profile, the fingerboard is divided by twenty-one Narrow Tall frets and black micarta dots.
Two hand-wound '67 Tele single-coil pickups from the Custom Shop give the guitar a classic Telecaster twang and feel. You can adjust the sound character using standard controls. The modern Greasebucket circuit allows you to reduce highs without emphasizing bass frequencies. The strings are mounted in Fender/Shaller Vintage F Style tuners and an RSD J-Bridge bridge and Bigsby B5 vibrato. The stylish workmanship is underlined by a three-ply pickguard (parchment).
The guitar is delivered in a case along with a certificate of authenticity and a guitar strap.
