Crown SX-822 RTR tape recorder. Offered for sale by original owner. Two channel two track. 7 1/2 and 15 ips tape speeds. Built in 1975 and fully restored in 2019. Complete re-cap. All circuit boards and internal components thoroughly cleaned. Motors cleaned, lubricated and shaft end play adjusted to minimum. Capstan/flywheel assembly cleaned, lubricated and end play adjusted to minimum. New pressure roller, drive belt and tape counter belt. Heads lapped and aligned, biased and equalized for ATR Magnetics Master Tape by Chuck Ziska, an original Crown tech and owner of the remaining Crown factory RTR parts inventory. Less than 50 hours run time since restoration. Includes original owners manual, bill-of-sale, warranty, new spare drive belt. Looks, operates and sounds like it did in 1975. Includes hand built wood case. Additional photos provided on request.
