Fender USA Telecaster – Nitro refinish & upgrades

This unique Telecaster was professionally built by Alan’s Guitar Shack using genuine Fender American Special and American Performer parts and set up to a high standard.

Body: 2011 Fender American Special body – stripped to bare wood and refinished in Dakota Red nitro, wet sanded to 2000 grit and polished. The beauty of nitro is that it will age naturally, and light natural wear is beginning to show - a few marks are shown in the photos/video. Overall this guitar has a lovely, slightly road worn feel which will improve with time in a way no poly finish can.

Neck: 2018 Fender American Performer rosewood neck with 22 jumbo frets, 9.5" radius, and modern C profile. Frets have been checked for level and polished for smooth playability.

Tuners & Bridge: Fender Classic Gear vintage-style split post tuners (modern fit) with traditional 3-saddle brass bridge.

Pickups & Wiring:

• Bridge: IronGear Steel Foundry Overwound
• Neck: Seymour Duncan SH-2N Jazz Humbucker

The high output bridge pickup and the low output humbucker match very nicely together. Hand-wired loom with 500k CTS pots, Orange Drop cap, Switchcraft switch & jack, and Electro-Socket jack plate. Push-pull tone control for coil-splitting the neck humbucker, and resistor in series with the bridge pickup to present correct S-H taper: 250k load for bridge, 500k for neck.

Weight: 3.78 kg / 8lb 5oz

Setup: Fully set up (relief, nut, action, intonation, pickup height) on Ernie Ball 10s. Low action, adjustable to your preference before shipping.

Includes: ABS hard case (one latch broken but fully functional)

Shipping: Price includes insured UK shipping via Parcelforce. Guitar will be safely packed in the hard case and boxed. Currently I do not offer overseas shipping
