Epiphone Les Paul Custom Koa with Gator hardshell case. I would list this as mint were it not for the fact that I discovered after purchasing from a third party that this appears to be a MIRC refurb or some type of factory second. I base that on the very light "USED" impression on the headstock above the serial number (see picture). Only a guess, but it looks like the first 3 frets may have been replaced, based on the surrounding fingerboard (see picture). It is otherwise, in form, fit, and function, in perfect condition.
Specification-wise, it has everything you would expect from an Epi LP Custom: gold hardware, multi-ply binding top and back, bound ebony fingerboard with block inlays, split diamond headstock inlay, ProBucker pickups, and CTS pots. The 3-piece mahogany body has some crazy figuring in the middle piece - see the picture of the back - and a beautiful koa veneer on the top. While Epiphone's website lists the neck as "slim taper", this one has a chunkier 50's style neck, with some gorgeous flame.
The only change from stock: I replaced the very white switch tip, which stuck out like a sore thumb, with a black one (genuine Epiphone part) that I feel completes the look. The original switch tip was sold with another guitar.
The Gator hardshell case is in excellent condition as well.
