Marshall JCM2000 DSL Full Stack – Limited Edition Silver Special (2005)

Back in 2005, Marshall released a limited edition “Silver Special” run of the legendary JCM2000 DSL stack. This unique finish features a silver tolex wrap and matching woven silver grill cloth. Only 200 DSL100 heads, 200 1960A (angled) cabs, and just 50 1960B (straight) cabs were ever produced—making the complete stack you see here one of only 50 in existence. Likely fewer remain intact today.

I picked this up from a pawn shop in 2019, and it was my main home amp for the better part of four years until I picked up an AXE FX III. It’s never been gigged during my ownership and has always been kept in a smoke-free home. I recently had the head serviced and tubes replaced earlier this year. The only maintenance item coming up is the filter capacitors, which are nearing the end of their lifespan (common in amps of this age), but the amp is fully functional and still sounds absolutely incredible.
